What is an Event Registration Software Specialist?

A big title for a big job…You are the cornerstone of our business. You are the online registration expert who coordinates with our clients, the Event Planners, to develop the online form that will be used for tracking their event registrations. The position will require you to:

Coordinate with clients to design, set up and test online event registration forms and payment processing using the ePly software.
Respond to support calls and emails to help clients who are building their own forms or who need help with reporting or other features in the system.
Manage current clients to ensure that they are happy and follow up to secure future business, provide pricing for services, etc.
Provide general office support including invoicing, processing refunds, conducting internet research and sales and marketing support.

What skills do you need?

Our business is built on exceptional customer service. We do what is outlined in our client contracts and then take steps to exceed the customers’ expectations to help make their event a success. To excel in this position, you need to be prepared to deliver outstanding service by having:

Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to proactively keep a project on track and to solve problems as they arise.
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to multi task and work with several windows open at the same time.
Keyboarding skills of at least 40 words per minute.
Have a solid foundation working in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong ability to multi-task and work under pressure. You will be working on up to 25 client projects at once and will need to coordinate client support calls, emails and concerns on an on-going basis.
Understanding and knowledge of the event planning industry is a definite bonus.
Basic knowledge of HTML and image editing software and an understanding of internet and e-commerce terminology is a definite bonus.

What does an Inside Sales person do at ePly?

The sales staff at ePly is key to growing the business and is responsible for selling ePly's services to new and existing clients using the phone and email. Using the sales systems and templates that we have created, the position will require you to:

Follow up and qualify incoming leads from ePly's website.
Prospect for new leads by phone and email.
Consult with prospects to determine if ePly is a good fit for their requirements.
Prepare custom quotes based on a prospect's requirements.
Give presentations and demos over the phone.
Close the sale.

What skills do you need?

Our business is built on delivering a professional service and having a genuine interest in the success of our client’s events, not in just making a sale. To be successful in this position you will need:

To be willing to learn ePly's online registration software and study ePly's sales manual. It is critical to confidentially answer questions from prospects, handle objections and point out key features applicable in different circumstances as any hesitation can cost you a sale.
The ability to use a consultative sales approach and pay attention to the small details.
The ability to multi-task to handle a high number of prospects and prioritize and focus on the best opportunities.
The ability to work under pressure and consistently meet targets.
Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
To be trustworthy and willing to undergo background/security check.
To have keyboarding skills at a minimum of 50 words per minute.
To have a good understanding of internet terminology, be proficient navigating the internet and using online software and MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience with SalesForce or a comparable CRM program.
The ability to be able to confidently respond to basic questions about databases, online credit card processing, online applications, internet security, etc.

An understanding and knowledge of the event planning industry is a definite bonus.
