Myeloma Canada is presenting the seventh annual National Conference for patients, their families and healthcare professionals on September 24 in Mississauga, Ontario.
This year’s panel of experts includes Dr Morie Gertz from the Mayo Clinic, Dr Donna Reece and Dr Vishal Kukreti of the Princess Margaret Hospital and Carlo DeAngelis from the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Our keynote speaker this year is Dr Rob Rutledge, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and co-author of the book The Healing Circle.
General sessions will address the basics of myeloma, drugs used in the treatment of myeloma, management of relapsed and refractory myeloma and an overview of myeloma research in Canada and the promising developments that are on the horizon.
Breakout meetings will include discussions on front-line therapy, amyloidosis, understanding free-light chain assay and the role of maintenance therapy in the management of myeloma. (Please select one when registering.)
The detailed agenda is available below.
All of this learning will empower you to help you better manage your myeloma, to have a sense of greater control and, we hope, an improved quality of life.
